The hardware proposal uses three products: M1 for three-phase circuits, M4 for single-phase branches and AG-2701X for Ethernet access. Scale quantities to the circuit plan and sampling target; retain the existing business system.
M1 · Three-phase circuits
Meter incomers and three-phase equipment with three external CTs. This proposal uses the RS485 variant.
M4 · Single-phase branches
Meter lighting, sockets, rooms and single-phase equipment through one RS485 interface.
AG-2701X · Enterprise Ethernet
Connect two RS485 channels to Ethernet using raw TCP or the Modbus function 03/04 read path.
Configure by site
One distribution zone
Use M1 on three-phase circuits and M4 on each single-phase branch, with AG-2701X according to the bus plan. A single-phase-only site can use M4 and the gateway.
Multiple floors or workshops
Divide buses and gateways by floor, panel or workshop. Consolidate over Ethernet in the host rather than extending one bus across distant areas.
Multiple sites or stores
Repeat the same three-product structure at each site. Use an existing secure network or software connector across sites; keep device ports off the public Internet.
Determine quantities
List T three-phase circuits and S single-phase circuits: allocate M1 by T and M4 by S. Gateway quantities follow bus zones, protocol paths, connection limits and measured polling time. List CTs, protection, DC supplies, panels and cabling separately as installation accessories.
Software integration
Connect to an EMS, SCADA or BMS, or use an adapter for MES, ERP and cloud applications. Software supplies analytics, allocation and reports. General downstream writes are not implemented in the current gateway; remote control and billing are separate scopes.

Add AC-2705X for equipment status and control

Extend the M1, M4 and AG-2701X collection setup with AC-2705X where needed: four isolated inputs collect status and eight relay outputs connect field controls. Confirm signals, loads and feedback before configuring equipment and software.

Confirm status reads and control writes separately
AG-2701X currently supports only 03/04 reads through Modbus TCP→RTU. AC-2705X input and output-command states can be read with 04. Relay writes using 05/0F require complete RTU frames over raw TCP, with the host handling CRC, polling and scheduling. The read-only gateway route cannot perform these control writes.
Use one agreed protocol route per channel. Output readback reports the command state; actual load operation requires independent feedback. Include interlocks, permissions, failure states and recovery in acceptance tests.
